Sports Biomechanics Research Assistant Internship

Location: Titleist Performance Institute, Oceanside, California, United States — onsite

What you will do

• Support biomechanics data collection sessions and laboratory operations.
• Prepare and maintain equipment for research and athlete testing.
• Process and analyze biomechanical datasets using established workflows and analytical tools.
• Support the development and improvement of post-processing models and methodologies.
• Contribute to biomechanical analyses and reporting for research and athlete-performance initiatives.
• Collaborate on ongoing research projects and special assignments.

Requirements

• M.S. in Biomechanics or a closely related field.
• Proven experience and a foundation in biomechanical principles.
• Proficiency with marker-based motion capture systems and software, such as Qualisys.
• Proficiency with force plates, such as AMTI or Bertec.
• Proficiency in biomechanical scripting and analysis using Visual3D, Python, and/or MATLAB; Visual3D is preferred.
• Ability to work independently toward defined project goals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
