Company

hirify.global builds an operating system for the trades, including AI-enabled features across its B2B SaaS platform.

What you will do

  • Provide practical legal counsel across the product life cycle, from ideation through launch and ongoing operations, for AI-enabled features and other product capabilities.
  • Administer the AI governance program, including AI Inventory intake, AI Impact Assessment review, risk-tiered workflows, legal sign-off, and evolving AI Design Guidelines.
  • Assess legal and regulatory risks involving generative AI, automated decision-making, algorithmic scoring, employee- and customer-facing automation, and AI tools used internally or distributed to customers.
  • Define contractual safeguards for AI vendors and integrations, and monitor emerging legislation including state automated decision-making rules and the Colorado AI Act.
  • Review AI-related product claims with Marketing and Commercial Legal to ensure they are accurate and substantiated.
  • Build playbooks, templates, training, and repeatable processes while coordinating judgment across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, Marketing, Privacy, Commercial, Litigation, and IP.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and membership in at least one US state bar.
  • 8–10 years of combined law firm and in-house experience counseling technology companies on product development, data, and emerging-technology legal issues.
  • Meaningful hands-on experience advising on generative AI governance, deployment, or compliance; recent applied experience is weighted more heavily than total tenure in this niche.
  • Working knowledge of US consumer protection and communications law, including TCPA; biometric privacy statutes such as BIPA; and state automated decision-making and AI laws, including California CCPA ADMT rules and the Colorado AI Act.
  • Experience advising non-product functions on AI-powered tools, vendor risk, data handling practices, and deployment safeguards.
  • Technology industry experience in a B2B SaaS company.
  • Pragmatic, business-oriented problem solving with strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical and legal complexity into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing organizational needs.

Nice to have

  • Experience with automated decision-making, algorithmic systems, or data-driven products such as ad tech, biometric technology, scoring, eligibility systems, or earlier-generation ML features.
  • Experience building or operating an AI governance program involving AI inventories, impact assessments, and cross-functional review workflows.
  • B2B SaaS experience where compliance decisions affect real-world business and consumer outcomes.

Culture & Benefits

  • Remote work with flextime, recognition, and support for autonomous work.
  • Flexible time off, learning and development opportunities, comprehensive onboarding, leadership training, and career programs.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, with employer-paid options and dependent coverage, plus FSA, HSA, 401(k) match, and telehealth.
  • Parental leave and support, fertility services up to $20,000, surrogacy and adoption reimbursement, maternity support, breast milk shipping, pet insurance, legal advisory services, and financial planning tools.
  • Annual bonus, equity, and a commitment to fair and equitable compensation.
