Security Engineer II, Security Platform (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; corporate team members are expected to work in the office at least 50% of the time monthly, typically three days per week.

Starting base salary: $168,000–$210,000 annually in the U.S.; equity is part of total compensation.

What you will do

• Build services and data pipelines that assign named owners to devices, cloud assets, SaaS applications, AI systems, and non-human identities.
• Develop agents and workflows for security and privacy design reviews and vulnerability triage.
• Implement managed settings, hooks, and approval paths for AI agents, connectors, and Model Context Protocol servers.
• Move scripts and scheduled jobs to an audited automation platform with human approval, testing, monitoring, and on-call support.
• Partner with infrastructure, IT, and product engineering teams to integrate the platform into their workflows.
• Conduct code and design reviews, maintain runbooks, and help Security & Privacy engineers build with agents and code.

Requirements

• Software engineering experience building, operating, and supporting production services.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or a similar programming language, with experience building security automation or risk detection tooling.
• Hands-on experience delivering production or open-source software through agentic development.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or with building tools and MCP servers for AI agents.
• Experience designing data models and APIs used by other teams.
• Experience building on cloud-native infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of at least one security area, including cloud and infrastructure, identity and access, or application security, plus applicable industry frameworks.
• Curiosity demonstrated through experimentation, building, and staying current with open-source and new security tools.
• Clear communication with engineers and partners, with experience influencing teams without formal authority.
