Senior Security Engineer (AI Security)

Location: Remote-optional within the United States; salary eligibility depends on the candidate's location within the country.

Starting salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year, excluding other compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure, platform services, and AI integrations.
• Lead vulnerability management, threat modeling, incident response, penetration testing, and proactive security assessments across AWS, Kubernetes, and AI application environments.
• Define, maintain, and execute the long-term security roadmap with engineering and executive leadership.
• Embed SAST/DAST, automated security testing, secret detection, compliance checks, and vulnerability gates into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Oversee IAM, secrets management, encryption, zero-trust architecture, Kubernetes hardening, runtime security, container scanning, and network policy enforcement.
• Evaluate and deploy AI-driven defensive tools, monitoring, SIEM alerting, and incident response capabilities while partnering with product, infrastructure, data, and QE teams.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in cloud and application security, including threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, IAM, secrets management, AI security, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS security controls and services, including IAM, KMS, EKS, RDS, and S3.
• Experience hardening Kubernetes clusters, implementing runtime security, container scanning, and network policy enforcement.
• Proficiency integrating SAST/DAST and security automation into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
• Solid scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash for security tooling and automated remediation.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, security logging, automated threat intelligence, and AI-powered monitoring frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or modern SOC tooling.
• Demonstrated leadership in security initiatives, policy definition, risk guidance, and security culture development.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance security requirements and business agility.
