Information System Security Officer - Team Lead (Cybersecurity)

Location: Huntsville, AL; primarily performed in an office environment

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually; final offer depends on location, skillset, and experience.

What you will do

• Manage cybersecurity programs for assigned systems, programs, or organizational environments.
• Oversee security compliance, risk management, authorization activities, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and security operations coordination.
• Lead ISSOs and coordinate with system owners, technical teams, organizational leadership, and the Government Lead.
• Develop and execute a Program Management Plan covering scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
• Direct contractor activities, staffing, resource allocation, financial performance, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure contract deliverables are accurate, high quality, and submitted on time.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Top Secret/SCI level.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, and information assurance practices.
• Experience managing security activities for information systems or cybersecurity programs.
• Experience with security authorization, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and audit support.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, or comparable standards.
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten or more (8+) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
