Data Architect (Databricks), Brazil (AWS)

What you will do

• Define the vision, roadmap, and KPIs for AWS-based data products, including pipelines, data lakes, analytics dashboards, and AI/ML data features.
• Work with business leaders, domain experts, data engineers, and data science teams to identify use cases, translate requirements into technical epics, and prioritize backlogs.
• Oversee architecture alignment across AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Bedrock, and SageMaker, for analytics and GenAI workloads.
• Enforce data access controls, privacy requirements, lineage, and quality standards with Security and Data Governance teams.
• Lead agile delivery by defining acceptance criteria, managing user stories, and ensuring timely delivery of data solutions.
• Track usage, adoption, and ROI to optimize engagement and business value.

Requirements

• Experience managing data platforms, ETL pipelines, or analytics products.
• Solid understanding of AWS data services, including S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Athena, QuickSight, and IAM, plus Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh architecture patterns.
• Strong experience leading cross-functional squads using Scrum or Kanban, backlog management tools such as Jira or Linear, and clear user stories.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools, including the ability to query data directly to validate product performance and metrics.
• Track record of converting complex technical requirements into business outcomes and executive-ready communications.

Nice to have

• Databricks Certified Consultant certification or DBR-to-EMR migration experience on AWS.
• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner or Pragmatic Institute certification.
