Manager, Test Engineering (Cryogenic Equipment)

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases provides cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, services, and solutions for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Nikkiso ACD specializes in engineering and manufacturing pumps, turbines, and turboexpanders for cryogenic applications.

What you will do

• Lead, develop, and mentor Test Engineers and Test Technicians while managing daily test engineering operations.
• Develop testing strategies, procedures, standards, best practices, departmental goals, budgets, and resource plans.
• Oversee product validation, qualification, performance, and reliability testing, including test plan, procedure, and report approval.
• Analyze test data, provide recommendations for product enhancements and corrective actions, and support root-cause investigations.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Management on product development, design verification, audits, and improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, safe testing, and resolution of complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is required; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, energy, aerospace, or similar technical environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of cryogenic pumps, rotating equipment, and related systems.
• Expertise in product validation, performance testing, and reliability testing methodologies.
• Experience developing engineering processes, procedures, testing standards, and departmental testing roadmaps.
• Strong analytical, statistical analysis, data interpretation, project management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, safety requirements, power systems, instrumentation, controls, and data acquisition systems.
• Ability to present technical information to leadership, customers, and stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in office and test laboratory environments, with possible overtime, travel, and exposure to noise, moving machinery, high-pressure systems, and cryogenic equipment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience leading, supervising, or managing engineering teams.
• Experience with high-voltage or high-current test systems.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Experience with cryogenic equipment, pumps, rotating machinery, or industrial testing environments.
