Risk, Assurance and Remediation Business Manager (Financial Services)

What you will do

• Own and coordinate the ongoing management, review and maintenance of the Conflicts of Interest Policy and supporting framework.
• Oversee the identification, declaration, assessment, management and recording of actual, potential and perceived conflicts of interest.
• Coordinate the review and escalation of material or complex conflicts through appropriate governance arrangements, while maintaining the conflicts register and supporting actions.
• Support business and executive governance through high-quality reporting for Boards, Committees and management forums.
• Monitor business priorities, risks, issues, actions and dependencies, ensuring appropriate visibility and escalation.
• Improve governance, policy and business management processes and promote risk ownership, transparency and constructive challenge.

Requirements

• Strong experience in business management, governance, risk, compliance or a comparable role, ideally in financial services or another regulated environment.
• Good understanding of governance, risk management and internal control principles.
• Experience managing, implementing or overseeing policies and supporting governance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including confidence working with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge and exercise sound judgement on complex or sensitive matters.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, including interpreting information, identifying themes, developing meaningful management information, managing multiple priorities and meeting agreed timescales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex matters clearly and succinctly.
• Proactive ownership and the ability to drive matters through to resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience with conflicts of interest, conduct risk, policy governance or a related discipline.
• Experience in a regulated financial services organisation.
• Experience preparing papers and reporting for senior management, Boards or executive-level governance.
• Experience collaborating with Risk, Compliance and Legal functions.
