Project Engineering Intern (Energy Infrastructure)

Location: United States - New York - Albany; weekly construction meetings at the jobsite and travel are required.

Base salary: $25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Coordinate vendor, subcontractor, customer, and site access during ongoing construction services.
• Support the Project Manager throughout design and construction, including status updates, delay remedies, customer communication, and project meetings.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors to maintain quality, schedule, budget, and compliance with design documents.
• Evaluate technologies and equipment, analyze proposals, prepare spreadsheets, and assist with review meetings.
• Prepare project reports, presentations, technical documentation, daily logs, schedule updates, and customer records.
• Review project expenditures, invoices, purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation while supporting sales, engineering, operations, and marketing.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or Energy Management.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project.
• Ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships effectively.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence and in good standing.
• Travel is required.

Nice to have

• Exposure to large-scale construction projects involving upgrades, renovations, and retrofits for institutional, government, commercial, or industrial sites.
