R&D Senior Scientist (Biocatalysis, Organic Synthesis)

What you will do

• Design and implement biocatalytic methodologies for scent molecule development.
• Develop experimental procedures, analyze and interpret data, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Lead research projects from early-stage validation through scale-up, including literature and intellectual property research.
• Manage projects independently from concept to completion, prioritizing multiple initiatives and delivering scientifically sound solutions.
• Collaborate with chemists, biochemists, and chemical engineers; mentor junior scientists and trainees.
• Train technical teams and serve as a local subject matter expert in biocatalysis.

Requirements

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in biocatalysis, ideally in an industrial setting.
• Strong expertise in enzymatic catalysis and organic synthesis.
• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, required.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to contribute to innovation.
