Firmware Engineer (Embedded C)

Location: Valencia, Spain; some travel required.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and improve embedded applications for power-management products, mainly using the TI C2000 family.
• Analyze software specifications and define software architectures and requirements for new products.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, including code documentation.
• Debug, unit-test, and verify embedded software.
• Use GitLab, Redmine, version-control, documentation, and collaborative development tools according to the QoS process.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, support other departments, and provide analysis or testing at customer facilities when required.

Requirements

• Engineering or university degree in a science field.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish required.
• 0–3 years of academic experience.
• Experience developing well-structured and documented software.
• Proficiency in C programming.
• Ability to analyze high-level requirements and define software specifications from very high-level or incomplete requirements.
• Ability to work rigorously and methodically in a team, with proactivity, dynamism, dedication, and eagerness to learn.

Nice to have

• Embedded software development for microprocessors.
• Embedded systems development for solar and/or storage inverters.
• Code documentation with Doxygen.
• Designing and implementing unit tests.
• Python programming.
• GitLab experience for version control.
