Onboard Safety-Critical Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working when possible.

hirify.global develops aerospace and defence systems, including integrated aircraft embedded systems for Aerial Delivery and Health Monitoring capabilities.

What you will do

• Contribute to software requirements and architecture specifications for onboard safety-critical computers.
• Develop software for onboard computers under the Aerial Delivery domain using DO-178B/C processes.
• Perform software verification through testing, reviews, and analysis.
• Participate in hardware/software integration testing.
• Support design, implementation, validation, verification, certification, and qualification of integrated aircraft systems.
• Account for safety, quality, systems performance, cost, environmental, operational, and industrial requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Early-career or mid-term experience of up to 5 years is considered.
• Advanced English.
• Demonstrated experience in software development.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
• Candidates must meet all legal and professional requirements for the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with software verification tools.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems.
• Experience with software certification processes applying RTCA DO-178B/C.
• Knowledge of Worst-Case Execution Time Analysis techniques.
