TL;DR
Technical Program Manager, Fleet Reliability (Robotics): Building the tools, data systems, and operating processes that improve reliability across a growing robot fleet with an accent on field investigations, predictive tooling, and technician operations. Focus on connecting telemetry with field reports, finding root causes of hard failures, and automating checks and write-ups with AI agents.
Location: On-site in Watertown, MA; travel to customer sites and regional teams as needed, approximately 10–25%.
Base salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, depending on experience.
Company
hirify.global builds and deploys robots for factories and warehouses, including robotics hardware, machine learning, field deployment, and service.
What you will do
Build tools, data systems, and operating processes for a growing robot fleet.
Lead investigations into complex robot failures by analyzing logs, field reports, parts history, and technician input until the root cause and durable fix are identified.
Develop technician training systems, issue tracking that connects telemetry with field observations, predictive failure tooling, technician capacity planning, and reliability metrics.
Use software, AI coding tools, and agents to pull data, run checks, and draft write-ups with minimal manual intervention.
Ship early versions, validate them with real users, iterate based on feedback, and document working solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, customer success, and field technicians.
Requirements
2–7 years of experience as a technical program manager, industrial engineer, engineer, or in operations or a similar technical role.
At least one system, tool, or program designed from scratch and put into real use, with a result that can be stated in numbers.
Experience building software with AI coding tools and agents, or the ability to learn them quickly; the programming language is less important than having shipped something that works.
Ability to think clearly and turn data into an actionable picture for others.
Clear writing for engineers, customers, and leadership.
A degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent experience.
Profiles that prefer a fixed task list and regular check-ins, maintaining existing systems over building new ones, or having the same work every week are not a fit.
Nice to have
Started something at a previous job that did not exist before and is still running.
Experience in robotics, automation, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment.
Side projects, a home lab, or other personal building experience.
Culture & Benefits
High ownership over how the robot fleet operates; solutions become part of the company’s fleet operations.
The role and scope grow with the fleet.
Fully employer-covered health insurance.
Managed 401(k).
Unlimited PTO and federal holidays off for full-time salaried employees; hourly employees receive 16+ days of accrued paid time off and 1.5x pay on federal holidays.
Regular in-office meals and team social events.
Hiring process
Submit a résumé and a short note describing something built: the problem, what was made, and what happened afterward.
Links, photos, and code are welcome.
