Associate Principal Analyst, Manipulation

Location: New York, NY, with a hybrid remote/office work environment; other job posting locations include Jericho, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Boca Raton, Plano, Tysons, Jersey City, Woodbridge, Washington, Rockville, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Travel may be required, and working hours may extend beyond normal business hours.

What you will do

• Conduct routine surveillance reviews of moderate to high complexity to identify unusual trading activity and potential violations.
• Analyze trading activity and research rules, regulations, guidelines, intelligence, and advisories.
• Test and develop analytics, surveillance tools, and processes for detecting and deterring fraudulent activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and document review steps, results, and referrals to Enforcement or outside agencies.
• Participate in Surveillance initiatives and special projects while monitoring industry trends and regulatory impacts.
• Coach and train colleagues on surveillance techniques, processes, and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of experience in the securities or financial services industry, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
• Understanding of the surveillance development lifecycle and goal-attainment skills.
• Working knowledge of hirify.global, MSRB, and other SRO rules, as well as the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and related regulations.
• Experience identifying potential securities rule violations.
• Experience working independently on routine projects.
• Employees must comply with hirify.global’s Code of Conduct, disclose relevant brokerage accounts, follow securities-account restrictions, and execute the Employee Confidentiality and Invention Assignment Agreement without qualification or modification.
