MuleSoft Integration Architect (Salesforce)

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky or 100% remote within the United States. US citizenship is required.

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Design integration architecture connecting Salesforce with government and third-party systems through MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Apply system, process, and experience APIs, selecting real-time, event-driven, batch, or Change Data Capture patterns.
• Lead development of Mule applications, RAML/OAS API specifications, and DataWeave transformations.
• Design authentication, encryption in transit, API policies, CUI protection, error handling, retries, monitoring, alerting, and logging.
• Establish integration standards, governance, and CI/CD pipelines; define interface agreements and data mappings with system owners.
• Document data flows for ATO and RMF packages and troubleshoot and tune production integrations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of enterprise integration experience, including 4+ years with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Experience designing and building APIs with RAML or OpenAPI and transformations with DataWeave.
• Experience integrating Salesforce through REST, SOAP, Bulk, and Streaming APIs, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven patterns such as Anypoint MQ, JMS, or Kafka.
• Experience with API security, including OAuth 2.0, mutual TLS, and API policies.
• Experience with CI/CD for Mule applications using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Systems thinking, technical leadership, security awareness, clear communication with system owners and agencies, pragmatism, and ownership from design through production support.
• Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Platform Integration Architect certification is required.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8140-qualifying certification is required, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Nice to have

• Experience with MuleSoft Government Cloud, Salesforce Government Cloud Plus, or Government Cloud Plus – Defense environments.
• Experience on DoD or other federal programs, including RMF, ATO packages, and CUI handling.
• Runtime Fabric or hybrid deployment experience.
• Salesforce development experience with Apex.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Additional Salesforce or MuleSoft certifications, including MuleSoft Platform Architect, MuleSoft Developer, Platform Integration, Platform Data, Platform Sharing and Visibility, Platform Identity and Access Management, or Platform Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect.
