Corporate Counsel (Fintech Payments)

Location: Hybrid, based in Dublin, Ireland, with an expectation of working from the office three days per week; London, United Kingdom is also listed as a location.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, partner, technology, and intra-group commercial agreements.
• Support disputes, claims, debt recovery, insolvency, and enforcement matters.
• Provide practical legal advice on day-to-day business queries and escalate complex or high-risk matters.
• Support product, regulatory, operational, and strategic projects with legal, compliance, risk, privacy, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Conduct legal research and horizon scanning, and prepare briefings on legal and regulatory developments.
• Maintain legal templates, playbooks, trackers, processes, corporate records, filings, approvals, and board or committee support.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland, England and Wales, or another relevant common law jurisdiction, with 0–3 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong academic background and training from a reputable law firm, in-house legal team, or equivalent legal environment.
• Clear, concise, and practical communication skills, including the ability to explain legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
• Good judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative, proactive, and commercial approach to problem solving.
• Comfort working in an international business with cross-border stakeholders and matrixed teams.

• Exposure to commercial contracts, corporate law, financial services, technology, fintech, payments, or regulated industries.
