IT & Security Officer (Fintech)

Location: Brazil; onsite; full-time.

hirify.global is hiring an IT and Security Officer for cybersecurity governance and regulatory accountability.

What you will do

• Serve as the statutory officer responsible for cybersecurity policy, cyber risk management, and formal reporting to the Central Bank of Brazil.
• Design, implement, and enforce information security and IT governance policies aligned with BCB Resolutions 85/2021 and 520/2025 and LGPD.
• Oversee cyber-incident detection, response, crisis communication, regulatory disclosure, containment, and remediation.
• Evaluate security and compliance controls for technology partners, SaaS vendors, and cloud infrastructure providers.
• Monitor vulnerabilities and threat posture, report cyber risk to the executive committee and board, and lead security awareness and phishing simulation programs.
• Lead internal, external, and regulatory IT audits and act as the primary contact for technology examinations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of dedicated information security, GRC, or security leadership experience managing frameworks and policies.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on technical experience as a systems administrator, network engineer, software engineer, DevOps professional, or IT support analyst.
• Deep knowledge of Central Bank of Brazil technology requirements, specifically BCB Resolutions 85/2021 and 520/2025 and related amendments.
• Based in Brazil and legally eligible to be appointed as a formal statutory officer (Diretor Estatutário) under Brazilian corporate and financial regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in a regulated financial institution, payment institution (IP), or high-growth fintech.
• Strong technical fluency for evaluating architectures, challenging security engineers, and auditing third-party vendor deliverables.
• Professional fluency in Portuguese and English for local regulatory filings and collaboration with international leadership.
