Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Memphis

Location: Southaven, MS; Memphis, TN. The position is based in Memphis, TN and requires willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

What you will do

• Own fluid and HVAC components across data center builds, including chillers, pumps, dry coolers, chemical treatment, water storage, pressurization, heating and cooling systems, heat exchangers, valves, and instrumentation.
• Design systems in CAD and coordinate three-dimensional interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Perform fluid analyses covering pressure balance, component design allowances, and consumables.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and engineering teams to select and procure equipment meeting schedule, cost, and performance requirements.
• Design for internal manufacturing partners and support reliable, manufacturable production transitions with minimal engineering sustainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of professional experience with fluid components such as valves, pumps, COPVs, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors.
• Experience with fluid handling systems for liquids and/or gases.
• Experience with data acquisition equipment, test instrumentation, and control components including pressure transducers, thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors, and relays.
• Experience with HVAC systems and air ducting.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Proven track record of effective management and leadership.
• Consulting experience in the data center market; AI-specific experience is preferred.
• Experience using REVIT and applying parametric design tools and software.
