Simulation & Digital Twin Engineer (Physical AI)

Location: Singapore-Yishun; remote work is available. Occasional travel may be required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and debug simulation, Digital Twin, and Physical AI software for intelligent automation and robotics.
• Build physics-based simulation environments, virtual equipment and robot models, digital assets, reusable components, and simulation workflows.
• Develop simulation capabilities for robotics, perception, vision, sensors, motion, manipulation, autonomous systems, and synthetic data generation.
• Build sim-to-real and real-to-sim workflows to correlate virtual models with physical systems and validate technology before deployment.
• Develop APIs, libraries, plugins, data pipelines, and integration frameworks connecting simulation with robotics, AI, automation, and engineering software.
• Collaborate across software, AI, robotics, mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation disciplines; contribute to architecture, integration, code reviews, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, with solid object-oriented software development knowledge.
• Experience developing simulation, robotics, Digital Twin, or automation software.
• Understanding of 3D simulation, physics-based modeling, robot kinematics, motion, sensors, or perception systems.
• Experience with Git, APIs, modular software architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including translating physical engineering problems into software and simulation solutions.
• Ability to work across software, robotics, automation, controls, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Physical AI, robotics simulation, autonomous systems, computer vision, or synthetic data generation.
• Knowledge of sim-to-real and real-to-sim workflows, including model calibration and validation against physical systems.
• Experience developing reusable simulation assets, software libraries, plugins, APIs, or Digital Twin frameworks.
• Familiarity with robot manipulation, path planning, sensor simulation, perception pipelines, or AI/ML integration.
• Experience integrating simulation environments with robots, automation equipment, cameras, sensors, PLC/control systems, or manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of 3D asset pipelines, CAD-to-simulation workflows, physics engines, and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and convert them into practical, scalable engineering solutions.
