Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Python)

Salary: $129,314.00–$220,000.00 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Design simple, modular, extensible product and solution components, evaluate trade-offs, and translate high-level designs into detailed functional logic.
• Design and refine MVPs, create and configure application components, and address availability, scalability, maintainability, disaster recovery, and security requirements.
• Build data pipelines, automation scripts, telemetry, CI/CD processes, and testing workflows using appropriate tools and development standards.
• Map customer requirements to test objectives, create and execute test cases, identify defects, and perform different types of testing.
• Track deployment schedules, guide the team through CI/CD, support program performance metrics, and improve program throughput and efficiency.
• Manage and train junior team members and provide stakeholder support across projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-bachelor’s experience in software engineering or related experience.
• Object-oriented programming experience with Python and PySpark.
• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azure Data Factory and Control-M.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and Google Cloud architecture.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, and Concord.
• Experience with cloud security, including firewall rules, role-based access management, virtual private networks, keyless access, and key vault management.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Hoodie, Delta Lake, and Google Bucket Storage.
• Experience with shell scripting, data warehousing, ETL, people management, and training junior team members.
