Senior Program Manager I - Flatellite (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at hirify.global's global headquarters and working in production areas.

Salary: Base pay range of $125,300–$187,850 USD per year, plus company stock as part of total compensation.

What you will do

• Lead high-volume satellite programs from blank-sheet concept through qualification, full-rate production, and flight.
• Own rate, yield, unit cost, technical roadmaps, and strategic program decisions.
• Run multiple programs and make architectural and design-for-manufacturing trade-offs with Chief Engineers.
• Coordinate manufacturing, supply chain, integration, and test teams while removing production roadblocks.
• Manage strategic suppliers and high-stakes subcontracts to protect schedule and margin.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned commercial constellation operators and support proposals with Business Development and Strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, science, or another technical discipline.
• 5+ years of aerospace program management experience.
• End-to-end ownership of a technical program, product, or team delivered under real pressure.
• Experience moving hardware and software from prototype toward high-rate production, with quantified yield, throughput, and cost gains.
• Understanding of takt time, line-of-balance, design-for-manufacturing, and learning-curve economics.
• Experience identifying and mitigating tooling, supply-chain, or yield risks before they affect production.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Candidates must also meet applicable U.S. space-technology export requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes into full-rate production without sacrificing mission reliability.
• Deep experience scaling satellite, aerospace, or analogous complex hardware production at volume.
• Experience reducing unit cost at rate while maintaining reliability.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Systems engineering, trade studies, interface control, and requirements-integrity experience, with Jira, Confluence, and ERP/MRP fluency.
• Multiple program cycles or 8+ years of aerospace or defense experience.
