Hirify AI/Оригинал
TL;DR
Senior Platform Reliability Engineer (AI infrastructure): Operating and improving large-scale GPU infrastructure, AI cloud services, storage, virtualization, Kubernetes, and Linux platforms with an accent on 24/7 reliability, observability, and controlled automation. Focus on diagnosing complex compute, storage, networking, and fabric failures, building guarded remediation, and coordinating technical recovery with vendors and engineering teams.
Location: Based in Australia or Singapore, with travel to Australian AI Factory sites as required.
Company
hirify.global develops and operates sustainable AI infrastructure, including hirify.global AI Cloud and the proprietary AI FactoryOS platform.
What you will do
Own incident triage, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution across Kubernetes, storage, virtualization, network connectivity, Linux hosts, and shared platform services.
Operate multi-tenant control planes, virtualization platforms, distributed filesystems, S3-compatible object storage, and GPU compute fleets against declared service levels.
Build runbooks, guarded automation, and controlled remediation tooling to reduce operational toil and support self-healing infrastructure.
Use Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, and related observability tools to correlate metrics, logs, and traces, improve alerting, and diagnose service faults.
Deliver changes through peer review, testing, staged rollout, and rollback planning; execute patching and urgent vulnerability remediation.
Manage vendor support cases, participate in major-incident recovery and blameless reviews, share the follow-the-sun on-call roster, and feed recurring issues back into engineering.
Requirements
Production infrastructure operations experience in a 24/7 environment using SRE practices, including service-level objectives, incident ownership, on-call participation, post-incident reviews, toil reduction, and executable runbooks.
Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills across storage, host networking, processes, memory, and I/O.
Experience with scale-out, parallel, or enterprise storage such as VAST, WEKA, Ceph, Lustre, GPFS, or NetApp, including evidence-based performance and capacity diagnosis.
Familiarity with a virtualization platform such as Proxmox, VMware, or KVM.
Experience with observability tooling, including queries across metrics and logs such as PromQL and LogQL, and signal correlation across services.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices such as OpenTofu or Terraform, Ansible, or Argo CD, plus scripting or operational automation in Python or Go.
Familiarity with server hardware operations, vendor support cases, diagnostic evidence, and cybersecurity principles for production infrastructure.
Clear written communication for incident updates, ticket notes, and escalations, with the ability to share accountability across a broad regional portfolio.
Nice to have
GPU or HPC infrastructure operations experience, including distributed training and inference, DCGM health checks, NCCL tests, and XID errors.
Experience in multi-tenant service provider, cloud, or colocation environments with contractual response commitments and customer-facing reporting.
Networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VLANs, load balancing, firewalls, and tracing faults across hosts, switches, and services.
Knowledge of InfiniBand, RoCE, RDMA, GPUDirect Storage, and DPU or SmartNIC networking.
Familiarity with bare-metal lifecycle and provisioning automation, known-good-state enforcement, and platforms such as NVIDIA Infra Controller, MAAS, Ironic, or Metal3.
Hands-on Kubernetes operations, including workloads, networking, storage, cluster health, multi-tenancy, and GPU-enabled patterns.
Experience with ITSM and incident-management tools such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or PagerDuty, and with ISO 27001 or SOC 2 controls.
Relevant certification, such as CKA, RHCSA, LFCS, or a vendor certification; a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and training.
Culture & Benefits
Permanent full-time employment.
The function operates 24/7; first-line monitoring and response sit with the operations centre, while senior engineers share the after-hours escalation roster.
Work with broad direction, a high degree of autonomy, and direct access to decision makers.
Travel to Australian AI Factory sites is required as needed.
Inclusive workplace committed to diverse backgrounds and sustainable AI infrastructure.
