Senior Security Auditor (AI)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; office-based roles require onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence Monday and Friday.

Salary: $170,200–$204,580 USD per year.

What you will do

• Establish and operationalize cybersecurity audit programs addressing CCPA requirements, including scoping, risk assessment, gap analysis, execution, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Test the design and operating effectiveness of controls across access, data classification, vulnerability management, production engineering, cloud, data, endpoint, and network security.
• Execute privacy audits, benchmark compliance against industry practices, and improve processes through automation.
• Lead risk-based analyses of IT and information security data and develop repeatable audit methods and internal security-compliance knowledge.
• Guide the implementation of regulatory controls and remediation plans, documenting findings, risks, action owners, and agreed timelines.
• Partner with Engineering, Information Security, Legal, Trust & Safety, and Finance on integrated compliance requirements and automation tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of professional IT audit experience and at least 2 years of security audit or security compliance experience.
• Technical knowledge of multiple security and privacy compliance frameworks, including CCPA, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
• Compliance and risk management skills; certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, or CISA.
• Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SQL, Python, Shell scripting, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience using AI tools in audit testing and daily operations.
