Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location: Remote, associated with Chicago, IL and other U.S. locations; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required.

Salary: $117,600–$161,700 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, modernize, and support applications and platforms across front-end, back-end, data, integrations, and hosting for the Wisconsin Medicaid Market.
• Work across multiple insurance core administration platforms and supporting services, reducing technical debt, system complexity, and operational burden.
• Drive CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, security-as-code, automated testing, observability, and repeatable operational automation.
• Apply cloud-native patterns such as containers and orchestration where appropriate, improving reliability, scalability, and consistency.
• Partner with IT leadership, enterprise architecture, and platform teams on technical direction, enterprise standards, security, compliance, and HIPAA requirements.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions and code reviews while balancing hands-on delivery with architectural leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications and/or infrastructure.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience with .NET, SQL Server, and Windows-based services.
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-based solutions, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building and modernizing full-stack applications across application, integration, platform, and hosting layers.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, security-as-code, operational automation, monitoring, logging, alerting, root-cause analysis, and resilient design.
• Working knowledge of containers and orchestration concepts, including Docker and Kubernetes/AKS.
• Ability to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, communicate technical tradeoffs, collaborate across domains, mentor teammates, and remain hands-on.
• Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in healthcare or healthcare technology environments.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building responsive web applications with React.
• Experience with hirify.global-approved code-generation tooling such as Windsurf or Codeium; strong aptitude and willingness to learn are also valued.
