Investment Fund Accountant (Capital Formation)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin; hybrid. Other listed locations include Milwaukee, Tampa, and Orlando, United States.

Salary: $57,800–$95,600 in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin; $54,900–$90,800 in Tampa and Orlando, Florida.

What you will do

• Support day-to-day administration and operations of investment funds.
• Track investor capital contributions, disbursements, distributions, cash activity, wires, and transfers.
• Maintain investor, fund, transaction, and supporting documentation records.
• Assist with reconciliations, expense tracking, general ledger review, periodic reporting, and quarterly and annual investor reporting.
• Coordinate audits and documentation with auditors, tax accountants, legal, compliance, and other third parties.
• Support investor onboarding and servicing, respond to fund manager and investor inquiries, and maintain client relationships.
• Complete Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) procedures.

Requirements

• 4-year degree and at least 1 year of professional experience.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Strong organizational, communication, attention-to-detail, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work effectively with investors, internal teams, and external service providers.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, financial services, investor relations, banking, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general technology skills.
• Experience with investment funds, private equity, real estate, alternative investments, fund administration, investor servicing, investor relations, asset management, or client relationship management.
• Familiarity with fund accounting and GAAP principles.
• Familiarity with EB-5 investments, USCIS requirements, and/or SEC investment fund regulations.
• Experience with Investran or similar fund administration, CRM, or investor reporting platforms.
