Mid Python Software Engineer

Location: Remote within Latin America. Florianópolis, Brazil office available for optional use.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and asynchronous background tasks.
• Optimize relational and non-relational database queries using technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Write clean, testable, efficient code focused on reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of professional software development experience using Python.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, RESTful APIs, and unit/integration testing.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.

Nice to have

• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Exposure to asynchronous programming with asyncio or message brokers such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
