LTD RET Software/Research Engineer (OPC)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site.

Annual salary: $149,600–$284,580 USD.

What you will do

• Develop and implement Resolution Enhancement Techniques for existing and novel semiconductor process technologies.
• Design, optimize, and validate Optical Proximity Correction algorithms and recipe code.
• Manipulate algorithmic design patterns and mask layouts for computational lithography applications.
• Use predictive modeling, statistics, machine learning, and data analysis to evaluate fab process data and compensate for photolithography and etch pattern-transfer effects.
• Support production mask tapeout, RET validation, and collaboration with lithography, mask manufacturing, fab process, and design rule teams.
• Create technical documentation and presentations while maintaining knowledge of RET and semiconductor technology trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field plus 6+ years of professional semiconductor industry experience; OR a master’s degree plus 4+ years; OR a Ph.D. plus 2+ years.
• Hands-on experience with pattern synthesis and mask layout manipulation.
• Knowledge of Optical Proximity Correction concepts and capabilities.

Nice to have

• Understanding of current techniques for developing and optimizing OPC rule-based synthesis solutions for high-volume manufacturing and emerging technology nodes.
