Senior Software Engineer, Native Editor Platform (C++)

Location: Remote, Washington, USA; USA-Remote (WA-Seattle Area)

Base salary: $115,400–$173,000 USD gross in Zone A; $130,400–$195,600 USD gross in Zone B; $146,500–$219,700 USD gross in Zone C. Final offer depends on geographic location, experience, professional background, and skill set.

What you will do

• Develop cross-platform native API abstractions for the hirify.global Editor across Windows, macOS, and Linux from design through delivery.
• Implement support for new operating-system features and adapt the Editor to current OS design guidelines.
• Maintain and improve the existing native codebase to support users and partners.
• Collaborate with experienced platform engineers, Product Managers, and partner teams worldwide.
• Contribute to the roadmap and deliver new authoring experiences for the hirify.global Editor.

Requirements

• Proven modern C++ development skills.
• Experience with at least one native platform API: Win32, Cocoa/Objective-C, or GTK.
• Experience fostering and maintaining cross-team partnerships with worldwide teams.
• Experience using native debuggers to identify root causes and solve difficult platform issues.
• Commitment to maintaining a reliable platform foundation while advancing the hirify.global Editor.
• Sufficient English proficiency for frequent professional verbal and written communication with worldwide colleagues and partners.

Nice to have

• C# development experience.
• Postmortem debugging experience with Windows dump files or macOS/Linux core dumps.
• Experience refactoring legacy codebases.
• Experience creating and using Docker container images.
• Experience using AI tools with professional skills.
