What you will do

• Research, develop, report, shoot, edit, and present news stories for broadcast, web, eMedia, and social media platforms.
• Arrange and conduct interviews, evaluate leads and tips, and gather information from public records, events, and other sources.
• Pitch locally relevant story ideas and work with producers and news managers to establish priorities, emphasis, format, and deadlines.
• Write, review, revise, and fact-check content for editorial accuracy, grammar, punctuation, company standards, and production quality.
• Interact with viewers and users on social media and contribute to special projects and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• At least two years of experience in news reporting.
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• Superior on-air presence.
• Computer and office equipment proficiency, including telephones, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
