Senior System Administrator (Windows/Linux)

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid working model.

What you will do

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system-related problems to ensure reliable ICT operations.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and test infrastructure software, including system monitoring solutions.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Install, maintain, and support data centre hardware, including servers, enclosures, UPS systems, patch panels, tape libraries, and cabling.
• Schedule installations, upgrades, and maintenance to minimise service disruption.
• Ensure compliance with organisational procedures supporting system integrity and security.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field, with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Valid ITIL certification is mandatory.
• Strong technical knowledge of data centre hardware infrastructure, including server installation, racking, cabling, and hardware connectivity.
• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Practical experience with hypervisor solutions, particularly VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Good knowledge of network storage solutions, including SAN/NAS and NetApp/EMC, and centralised backup systems.
• Proven experience in advanced hardware and software troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent knowledge of English.

• Knowledge of French.
• SolarWinds Certified Professional, Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, RHCSA, LPIC-1, Oracle Certified Professional for Oracle Linux, VMware VCP, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, Dell DCS-SA/DCS-PE, or DRCS certification.
