Server Developer (Java)

What you will do

• Analyse business requirements and make architectural and design decisions using Java.
• Write robust, maintainable code and take end-to-end responsibility for product development.
• Contribute to game engine development, core engine components, business logic, and web-based casino applications for mobile devices.
• Carry out alpha testing and code reviews while collaborating with distributed development teams, primarily in the United States.
• Provide technical leadership and proactive input on custom solutions for gameplay and performance requirements.

Requirements

• Higher education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of Java experience, ideally in game development or the iGaming industry.
• Deep knowledge of Java Core and the Collections API.
• Experience with source control, build, and tracking tools including Git, Maven, and Jira.
• Knowledge of common design patterns and algorithms.

Nice to have

• Experience with web applications and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with modern Java features up to Java 25.
• Understanding of functional programming in Java using Vavr, formerly Javaslang.
