Senior/Lead Java Developer

Location: Minsk, Belarus; hybrid or remote work opportunity.

What you will do

• Own the full software development lifecycle, from business requirements and coding through deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across Europe and the USA, business stakeholders, and product planning teams.
• Build and maintain high-performing, scalable, and resilient web-based applications and services.
• Contribute to product planning and sprint backlog meetings.
• Maintain technical design, architecture, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Evaluate new technologies and approaches using a technology-agnostic mindset.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience with Java.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Maven.
• Proficiency with relational databases, particularly MySQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud provisioning tools such as CDKTF or AWS CDK.
