IT ILS Operator (Satellite Ground Segment)

Location: Kirchberg, Luxembourg City, Luxembourg; hybrid work with mobile work abroad.

hirify.global GmbH, part of OHB SE, develops and operates satellite ground systems, antennas, telescopes, and IT applications for securely processing satellite-generated Earth observation and reconnaissance data.

What you will do

• Install, configure, accept, commission, and troubleshoot the project IT environment and satellite ground-segment network.
• Maintain ground-segment hardware and software, monitor system status and health, and perform network performance and trend analysis.
• Administer networks and security, resolve user requests through ticketing tools, and manage internal upgrade projects.
• Create procedures, plans, policies, training materials, purchase orders, and IT component stock records.
• Coordinate logistics and spare-part supply with contractors and subcontractors.
• Work in shifts during operations.

Requirements

• Completed degree in IT with sound professional experience or a comparable qualification; motivated newcomers to the space industry are also welcome.
• Confident use of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems.
• Documentation skills, project-work experience, and high quality awareness.
• Problem-solving skills, flexibility, sense of responsibility, team spirit, and openness to new IT challenges in the space sector.
• Applications may be submitted in German or English.

Nice to have

• Specialized knowledge of satellite ground segments, networking, virtualization, shell scripting, ElasticStack, or M365 cloud services.
• Knowledge of ITIL.
