Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

Company

hirify.global is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States.

What you will do

  • Design and execute fine-tuning experiments using supervised learning, DPO, RLHF, and related techniques.
  • Lead dataset construction, curation, quality assurance, and preference-data workflows.
  • Build scalable distributed training pipelines and operate large-scale jobs on GPU clusters, including failure recovery.
  • Optimize hyperparameters, training stability, throughput, mixed precision, sequence packing, and efficient attention.
  • Design automated benchmarks, human evaluations, capability probes, safety evaluations, refusal tests, and policy evaluations.
  • Manage experiment artifacts, lineage, and reproducibility; collaborate with product, research, and platform teams, document results, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Six or more years of combined ML research and engineering experience with significant LLM exposure.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern deep learning frameworks, especially PyTorch.
  • Hands-on experience fine-tuning transformer-based language models at non-trivial scale.
  • Familiarity with FSDP, ZeRO, pipeline parallelism, and other distributed training strategies.
  • Experience with RLHF, DPO, or other preference optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of evaluation methodology, benchmarks, and human evaluation design.
  • Experience operating GPU-cluster training jobs and recovering from failures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus a record of shipping or publishing impactful LLM work.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or candidates eligible for an H-1B transfer; new H-1B petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

  • Publications at top-tier ML venues.
  • Experience with multimodal model fine-tuning.
  • Familiarity with synthetic data generation and dataset distillation.
  • Open-source contributions to LLM training libraries.
  • Exposure to responsible AI evaluation and red-teaming practices.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time direct W2 employment.
  • 100% remote work within the United States.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, research, platform, and business stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities include code review, design review, documentation, and mentoring.
