EMEA Public Relations Strategist (League of Legends)

Location: Berlin, Germany; the candidate must be located in Berlin.

What you will do

• Coordinate and execute PR plans for League of Legends and LoL Esports across EMEA, covering Tier 1 and Tier 2 ecosystems.
• Translate communications strategies into regional PR activations in collaboration with EMEA strategists, League of Legends teams, global partners, stakeholders, agencies, and spokespeople.
• Drive media outreach, proactive pitching, interviews, media opportunities, inbound press requests, and pan-EMEA outreach around priority League of Legends beats.
• Support the EMEA press office through newsroom coordination, news distribution, media targeting, and relationship management with esports, gaming, and broader endemic media.
• Draft and adapt press releases, official articles, pitches, media statements, briefing documents, and spokesperson materials.
• Coordinate and supervise press operations at Riot Games Arena in Berlin, track PR activity and results, and report insights to EMEA stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in public relations, communications, media relations, or a related field, including hands-on execution of communications campaigns and press-office activity.
• Strong understanding of gaming, entertainment, sports, or technology media across EMEA and how stories resonate with different audiences.
• Experience working directly with journalists, managing media requests, developing targeted media lists, and conducting proactive press outreach.
• Strong written English and the ability to draft, edit, and adapt high-quality communications materials for different media audiences and formats.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple communications workstreams, stakeholders, deadlines, and agency partners simultaneously.
• Comfort working with communications strategists, esports teams, global partners, agencies, spokespeople, and stakeholders across different countries and functions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of League of Legends, its community, esports ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
• Previous experience in gaming, esports, sports, or entertainment communications.
• Experience supporting major events or live-event PR operations.
• Experience coordinating PR agencies or external communications partners.
• Experience working across multiple EMEA markets or within an international communications organization.
