Solutions Architect Power Platform

What you will do

• Lead or support Power Platform and solution architecture for business application, digital transformation, procurement, and software development initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into functional, non-functional, and high-level solution designs with business analysts, product owners, and project teams.
• Design secure, scalable, supportable Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Copilot Studio.
• Define architecture and governance for environments, security, identity and access, DLP, connectors, application lifecycle management, monitoring, and operational ownership.
• Design integrations across Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, and other enterprise applications using appropriate APIs and integration patterns.
• Present designs to architecture governance forums and advise senior business and technology stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, including strong knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, plus experience with Power Pages and/or Copilot Studio.
• Strong understanding of Power Platform architecture and governance, including environment strategy, security, DLP policies, connector governance, application lifecycle management, and operational considerations.
• Proven broader solution design and architecture experience across user experience, applications, integration, data, and cloud services.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure platform services and integration of Power Platform solutions with Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise technology environments.
• Ability to determine when Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure services, or custom development is the appropriate architectural approach.
• Experience engaging senior business and technology stakeholders and facilitating architecture and solution-design discussions.
• Ability to produce concise, accurate solution designs, architecture decisions, and supporting documentation aligned with governance, technology strategy, and business requirements.
• Experience defining non-functional requirements covering security, availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and monitoring.
• Experience presenting designs through Architecture Review Boards, Technical Design Authorities, or equivalent governance processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and its relationship with Dataverse and the wider Power Platform ecosystem.
• Experience with Azure integration technologies including API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• Experience with Power Platform Centre of Excellence approaches and enterprise adoption and governance of low-code solutions.
• Experience architecting secure integrations with external systems, including identity and access management, secure connectivity, trust boundaries, and third-party security risks.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and governance of AI-enabled applications and agents.
• Experience defining current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures and contributing to technology roadmaps.
• Experience working within regulated environments.
