Internship Software Engineer (Quality Assurance)

Location: HBP (Amsterdam - Haarlerbergpark); hybrid internship combining office and remote work. Candidates must be registered at a Dutch education institution, and the internship must be part of their curriculum.

Internship allowance: €700 based on a 36-hour work week.

What you will do

• Research how Quality Assurance is implemented across multiple development teams and compare practices with current market methodologies.
• Design and implement standard Ways of Working to improve automation across development teams.
• Define objective measurements for Quality Assurance automation maturity.
• Develop automated collection of quality and automation metrics and build dashboards that provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, platform teams, and stakeholders on implementation.
• Document the solution through Ways of Working, how-to guides, and onboarding materials.

Requirements

• Master's student with academic research skills and eligibility for a 4–6 month internship that is part of the curriculum.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Quality Assurance, management reporting, and test automation.
• Basic backend development knowledge for setting backend development standards.
• Ability to relate observed Ways of Working to current market methodologies.
• Ability to write documentation, including how-to guides and onboarding materials.
• Understanding of development and reporting practices.
• Understanding of integration with existing data platforms such as Oracle, ServiceNow, Cognos, and Power BI.
• Independent mindset, flexible attitude, and proactive contribution to development processes.
• Registration at a Dutch education institution is required.
