Senior Consultant - AIDR (AI)

Location: Remote, Australia (NW); other Australian remote locations include WA, SA, QL, AC, VC, NT, and TS.

What you will do

• Plan, deploy, configure, optimize, and provide operational support for AI-powered detection and response capabilities.
• Troubleshoot AI-related customer issues across small to large enterprises and assist with integrating security capabilities into existing tools and workflows.
• Configure and tune machine learning algorithms, reduce false positives, and improve threat detection efficacy.
• Develop AI-driven automation playbooks, scripting solutions, and applications using platform APIs.
• Interpret AI-generated alerts and findings, support AI-powered threat hunting and forensic analysis, and improve vulnerability prioritization and asset management.
• Lead AI skills workshops and collaborate on customer-facing AI collateral.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, plus 8 years of experience performing IT deployments or working in an end-user/customer environment.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in cybersecurity applications, and experience with AI-powered security tools and platforms.
• Strong understanding of software deployment technologies, data science principles applied to security operations, and security automation and orchestration platforms.
• Experience building or contributing to software applications, tools, or integrations using REST APIs, version control systems such as Git, and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, increase efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, as well as strong experience in computer and network systems security.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to address unusual and complex problems.
• Proactive and thorough ability to manage work and prioritize customer projects.
• Experience mentoring or leading cross-functional teams delivering complex projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Falcon platform, antivirus, or endpoint detection and response solutions.
• Experience with machine learning models, natural language processing, anomaly detection, prompt writing, AI agents, or building agents.
• Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and model development.
• Experience with SCCM, Group Policy, McAfee EPO, IBM BigFix, Puppet, Chef, Citrix, PDQ, or PsExec.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Batch development.
• Experience with host-based firewalls, file integrity management, data protection, vulnerability management, attack surface management, or IT automation.
• Knowledge of CIS Benchmarks, STIGs, PCI, or HIPAA.
• Experience with SIEM, MSSQL, Splunk, or LogScale.
• Experience with Identity, Active Directory, Azure AD, or SSO.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
