2027 Future Talent Program – Pharmaceutical Operations Intern (Pharmaceutical Sciences)

Location: Rahway, New Jersey, or West Point, Pennsylvania, United States. Full-time onsite internship for up to 12 weeks from May through August 2027; no relocation and no travel required. Applications are limited to US, Canada, and Puerto Rico residents.

Salary range: $39,908–$111,111 USD annually.

What you will do

• Support formulation development, manufacturing, and clinical supply chain projects for oral solid dosage and injectable products.
• Apply process engineering to manufacturing and filling of injectable clinical supplies in West Point and Rahway.
• Develop technical understanding of process equipment and critical utility systems through design engineering.
• Work with an experienced pharmaceutical industry scientist on a departmental research project.
• Participate in departmental and project team meetings and present research results in oral and written formats.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree, or as a graduate student pursuing a master's or PhD.
• Degree studies must be in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Engineering.
• Must have completed at least two years of bachelor's studies by June 2027.
• Must be available to work full-time for up to 12 weeks from May through August 2027.
• Strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and ability to work in a multifunctional environment.

Nice to have

• Significant interest in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Supplies.
• Basic laboratory and research experience, including electronic notebook recording, HPLC, spectroscopy, analytical techniques, and safe laboratory practices.
• Basic experience with MATLAB, Python, and Aspen.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
