What you will do

• Architect and build machine learning systems for complex narrative analysis.
• Improve NLP models quantitatively by designing and integrating new models.
• Use cloud infrastructure for model training and serving.
• Track the state of the art in relevant research topics and present results internally or at external conferences.
• Optimize machine learning systems for cost, latency, and quality.
• Facilitate deployment of research results in demonstrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of programming experience.
• Sophisticated experimental NLP experience in academic or industrial research.
• Fluency in Python and C++ or Unreal C++.
• Intellectual curiosity, ambition, open-mindedness, and a proactive approach.
• Ability to take high-level goals, create a plan, drive it forward, and remain accountable for results.

Nice to have

• Game development experience, especially with Unreal Engine.
• Relevant publications in narratology.
• Personal machine learning projects.
