EHS Technician I (Manufacturing)

Location: Moscow, Idaho, United States; onsite, second shift

Salary: $31.00–$46.00 per hour, plus a $5.00 per hour shift differential

What you will do

• Assist with developing, implementing, researching, and refining environmental, health, and safety programs to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
• Own or maintain one to two EHS programs and support customer requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams, internal audits, compliance inspections, and activities supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Coordinate chemical inventories, safety data sheets, scrap, waste material management, and related records for manufacturing facilities.
• Support hazard control, accident prevention, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action evaluation, and implementation.
• Assist with safety training and advise managers and employee owners on safety management programs and practices.

Requirements

• Professional certification such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), or similar.
• General knowledge of multiple EHS programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs unassisted, lift and carry up to 40 lbs, sit or stand for at least 8 hours, pull weight from high or low places, differentiate color, and perform repetitive tasks.
