Electrical Engineer I, Harness

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, CA or Centennial, CO, with travel between sites as needed; willing to travel 20% of the time.

Base salary: $75,000–$110,000 per year. Actual level and salary may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and design harness assemblies and harness routing for spacecraft and test setups.
• Create 3D harness routes and electro-mechanical assemblies connecting electronics and power subsystems.
• Generate wiring diagrams and apply grounding and shielding principles.
• Coordinate with engineering, program management, production, and quality teams.
• Analyze harnesses against applicable quality and reliability standards.
• Support production and quality assurance, develop BOMs, and use the ERP system for production coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering.
• Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited requirements input or management oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
• Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence in the U.S., protected-individual status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations for ITAR-regulated technology.
• Ability to frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, and lift or carry items up to 20 pounds.
