Test Automation Engineer (CI/CD)

Location: Fort Meade, MD, United States. On-site. Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly required.

Salary: $200,000–$210,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure supporting USCYBERCOM mission systems and cyber operations platforms.
• Develop, integrate, and optimize automated testing frameworks and validation pipelines for mission-critical software reliability, security, and performance.
• Build, deploy, and sustain scalable infrastructure across development and test environments for cyber capability lifecycle management.
• Evaluate DevOps tools, containerization technologies, and automation frameworks for integration into mission environments.
• Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, test plans, CI/CD workflows, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity analysts, and mission stakeholders to convert requirements into testable engineering and deployment solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, typically required.
• 10+ years of related experience with large-scale CI/CD infrastructure and source-control frameworks such as GitLab, MinIO, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.
• Experience supporting software integration, deployment, and validation across development, test, and operations pipelines.
• Experience with cloud virtualization platforms such as vSphere or ARIA.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks such as Robot Framework, Pytest, and GoogleTest.
• Experience with Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience using Podman or Docker.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills, particularly for technical testing documentation.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.

Nice to have

• Development Test experience or cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of cross-compilation and experience building or using software across PPC, MIPS, x86, ARM, RISC-V, or other architectures.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Extensive experience parsing user stories or requirements into testable objectives and performance measures.
• GIAC Cloud Security Automation certification or an equivalent cybersecurity or DevOps certification.
