Company
delivers effects-as-a-service and turnkey national security capabilities across airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special air missions, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation.
What you will do
- Build, integrate, and improve modular cyber capabilities for wireless surveys, reconnaissance, device and network enumeration, technical characterization, and operator-directed access workflows.
- Configure, deploy, and support Linux-based sensors, edge computing, communications links, and remote operator interfaces in disconnected, bandwidth-constrained, and resource-limited environments.
- Support mission preparation, customer engagements, exercises, trials, and authorized operational activity while troubleshooting systems and communicating capability limitations.
- Develop ingestion, normalization, storage, retrieval, and correlation workflows for wireless observations, device telemetry, and network state.
- Apply analytics and AI to device characterization, observation correlation, change recognition, and reduction of manual analysis; evaluate accuracy, confidence, latency, and edge-compute requirements.
- Integrate and harden sensors, software modules, APIs, databases, and command-and-control components, then convert field observations and failures into tested tooling, deployment procedures, and documentation.
Requirements
- At least five years of relevant experience across cyber operations, offensive security, security tooling, or operational systems engineering, or a relevant bachelor's degree with at least two years of directly applicable experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Hands-on experience in penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability research, cyber mission support, or a comparable technical operational role, with the ability to understand and adapt tool behavior.
- Strong practical development skills in Python or Rust, with experience using Bash and Linux-native tooling; ability to read, modify, debug, and integrate existing code.
- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals, including packet analysis, IP networking, wireless networking, remote access, service configuration, and distributed-systems troubleshooting.
- Experience with structured data, databases, APIs, version control, and repeatable testing and deployment practices.
- Ability to connect technical outputs to an operator's actual question.
- U.S. work authorization, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility to obtain a Top Secret / TS/SCI clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting special operations, deployed technical teams, wireless reconnaissance, or expeditionary communications; equivalent civilian experience is welcome.
- Experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth security, cellular technologies, software-defined radio, embedded Linux, or resource-constrained computing.
- Applied machine learning and local inference experience supported by practical implementation.
- Curiosity, entrepreneurial initiative, systematic working habits, sound technical judgment, and the ability to turn field workarounds into engineered solutions.
Culture & Benefits
- Work in a fast-moving, intellectually demanding environment with responsibility for mission-relevant national security capabilities.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial, systematic, and discerning working culture with distributed decision-making and close cooperation across engineering and operational teams.
- Comprehensive medical plan options, dental and vision coverage, HSA/FSA accounts, and life and disability insurance.
- 6% employer 401(k) match, fully paid parental leave, generous PTO, AD&D coverage, pet insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program.
