Founding Senior Engineer (Autonomous Driving)

Salary: $210,000–$300,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead the development of end-to-end driving, VLA, or world model systems.
• Define and implement scalable architectures for autonomous driving.
• Adapt foundation models for autonomous driving applications.
• Drive major technical initiatives from ambiguous concepts through deployment on real vehicles.
• Improve training, evaluation, and data efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team growth, technical direction, hiring standards, and engineering culture.

Requirements

• Demonstrated grit, ownership, and a track record of solving difficult technical problems from ambiguity through successful deployment.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building machine learning systems.
• Proven experience shipping production machine learning systems.
• Experience leading technical projects from concept to deployment.
• Strong Python and PyTorch or JAX skills.

Nice to have

• Autonomous driving or robotics experience.
• Experience with end-to-end driving, VLA/VLM models, world models, or foundation models.
• Experience with large-scale distributed training.
• Experience with simulation, synthetic data, or safety-critical systems.
• Publications at top conferences.
