Software Engineer II (Go)

Location: United States (Remote); remote in-country.

Salary: $118,400–$194,250 annual base salary across US geographic tiers, with equity; compensation may also include commission where applicable.

hirify.global builds the hirify.global platform and hirify.global Cloud infrastructure, including open-source workflow and proxy solutions.

What you will do

• Implement production-quality features in the hirify.global Proxy codebase, primarily using Go or a comparable systems language.
• Build and improve request handling, configuration, authentication and authorization integrations, and encryption-related hooks.
• Add and maintain logs, metrics, and traces, and debug issues in staging and production environments.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to improve correctness and prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with Cloud Global Services, Security, Infra Foundations, and OSS Server engineers to deliver scoped projects safely.
• Improve developer experience through documentation, examples, and operational usability enhancements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Go or another systems language, with the ability to ramp quickly into an existing codebase.
• Working knowledge of service-to-service communication and distributed systems fundamentals, including HTTP, gRPC, and reliability principles.
• Familiarity with security fundamentals such as mTLS, JWT, and OIDC/OAuth concepts, plus willingness to learn deeper patterns.
• Ability to take a scoped problem through implementation, testing, and documentation, and communicate progress clearly.
• Collaborative approach and comfort working across functions to deliver shared outcomes.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience with proxy or gateway systems, cloud networking, service mesh concepts, or security-oriented infrastructure.
• Experience with observability tooling and operational practices, including on-call debugging, incident follow-ups, and performance testing.
• Contributions to open source through code or documentation.
• Familiarity with hirify.global concepts or strong interest in learning the platform.
