Staff Accountant

Location: Austin, United States; hybrid work arrangement.

hirify.global Fund Advisors provides investment and financial services, with the Finance Department supporting clients, decision-makers, and internal departments through accounting, tax, and financial regulation expertise.

What you will do

• Support month-end close administration, including close management software, task sequencing, dependencies, and scheduling.
• Record cash receipts and receivable applications across multiple entities and prepare journal entries for cash management, accruals, prepaids, and related workstreams.
• Manage corporate fixed asset activities, including additions, retirements, depreciation, and Property & Equipment roll-forwards for United States and foreign entities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations in multiple currencies.
• Apply accounting policies to capital expenditures and analyze capitalization requirements for long-lived assets.
• Support global accounting processes, collaborate with international accounting teams, and partner with Accounts Payable, FP&A, Treasury, and Corporate Tax.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least two years of applicable general ledger experience.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP, accounting policies, and practices.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or a similar enterprise accounting system.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Self-motivation, problem-solving ability, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively, support critical or difficult tasks, and identify and implement process improvements.
• Flexibility to work overtime as necessary during month-end close.
