Senior Mission Design Authority (Satellite Systems)

Location: On-site in Montreal, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec, Canada.

What you will do

• Act as the technical authority and primary customer interface for satellite, payload, or platform programs.
• Plan, direct, and control technical activities, program baselines, budgets, schedules, contractual requirements, and subcontractor performance.
• Lead system trade-offs, technical investigations, issue resolution, technical decisions, and program execution from kick-off through in-orbit acceptance.
• Lead multidisciplinary systems engineering teams across RF, digital, electrical, EMC, mechanical, thermal, assembly, integration, verification, and testing.
• Lead engineering documentation, design reviews including EQSR, SRR, PDR, and CDR, and integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Lead tests, attend TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR reviews, and support In-Orbit Testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in system management or senior project systems engineering in a related technical field.
• Experience with negotiations, risk management, contract management, subcontract management, financials, and US ITAR regulations.
• Strong people and leadership skills.
• Communication skills in French are required.
• Successful candidates must obtain and hold SECRET status level II security clearance and pass the Controlled Goods Program security assessment.
• Successful candidates must obtain and hold reliability status security clearance and pass the Controlled Goods Program security assessment.

Nice to have

• Experience with satellite constellations.
• Good knowledge of English, particularly for contact with customers outside Quebec.
