Consultant, Software Test Engineering

Location: Bogota, Colombia; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office, with exact expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do

• Lead test strategy, solution validation, and delivery activities across multiple projects, communicating quality outcomes, risks, and recommendations.
• Design and review test approaches, test plans, artifacts, standards, procedures, and validation activities to ensure business and technical requirements are met.
• Own testing and solution readiness for assigned initiatives, supporting successful delivery and client outcomes.
• Drive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventative measures for technical, operational, application, integration, connectivity, and payment-processing issues.
• Provide technical consultation and subject-matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders on testing, certification, product capabilities, implementation, and solution adoption.
• Expand test automation, self-service capabilities, reusable frameworks, best practices, and process improvements while coaching team members.

Requirements

• Digital fluency, including the ability to use emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools, including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, in everyday work.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least 2 years with an advanced degree such as a Master's, MBA, JD, or MD, or 0 years with a PhD.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions, provide technical guidance to stakeholders with different levels of expertise, manage multiple priorities and client engagements, and make independent decisions.
• Experience with APIs, web services, system integrations, networking concepts, and modern digital platforms.
• Experience resolving complex integration, connectivity, or payment-processing issues.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, continuous improvement practices, and customer-centric solution delivery.
• Adaptability, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning in an evolving technology and payments landscape.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, financial services, technology consulting, implementation, certification, client support, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience supporting technology transformation, automation, self-service platforms, or process improvement initiatives.
• Experience leveraging data and operational insights to make recommendations, improve client outcomes, and support business objectives.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
