Product Owner (Payments)

Location: Tbilisi, Georgia; hybrid work

What you will do

• Research payment technologies, market trends, competitors, client needs, and business opportunities.
• Define product strategy, goals, scope, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, roadmaps, and SRS documents for complex integrations.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog and coordinate sprint planning, grooming, estimation, development, and QA activities using Agile practices.
• Manage communication with stakeholders, clients, users, payment providers, vendors, and third-party service partners.
• Plan releases, conduct UAT and feature validation, support demos and documentation, and coordinate operational readiness with Service Delivery.
• Track escalated issues under SLA processes, provide payment-functionality expertise, and improve product performance, user experience, and operational processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or IT Project Manager.
• At least 1 year of experience leading or coordinating development teams.
• Experience working with software development and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with continuous product development and iterative delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance technical understanding with business value delivery.
• Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment systems, payment gateways, or financial integrations.
• Familiarity with third-party service integrations, APIs, and vendor management.
